Let's peel back these layers!

juliannlaw Here is a closeup of the endpapers in my debut picture book, THE WORKD’S LONGEST SOCK. I work digitally in Adobe Photoshop but the program doesn’t do it all for me! I knit all the pixels by hand! Haha! I do have things I do to help me work quickly and efficiently, though, like using layers. Here you get to see me take off those layers one by one till we are back at nothing but a background. The World's Longest Sock is now available on  Amazon ,  Barnes and Noble ,  Target , or wherever you  buy books !

if these old walls could speak. . .

. . . they'd tell fantastic stories of medieval court life and dragons and castles!

I just saw these fantastic shadow puppets at Kate's Paperie but of course they are sold out! Wouldn't it be fun to make some though? Lucy's into pirates these days. . . I could design a set of pirate shadow puppets. . . add that to the list of projects I would love to do but probably never will. Seriously.

These look so cool!
If only Lucy were closer! The boys are all about Pirates these days. The coffee table is now a pirate ship, all our spatulas have turned into swords, and the vaccuum tube has turned into a telescope. Everynight Max insists on going to bed with ALL his "pirate things". Miss you guys!
